Alright, my friend's running W7 64 bit. He can load PSO2 and get to ship login, but he can't actually get past that because the game apparently isn't updated. He can't update using the Tweaker because it's apparently broken for him and the exes it downloads aren't recognised as valid win32 files, so that option's out. He can't connect to the patch servers using the regular vanilla patcher as he gets error 103.
He's tried uninstalling and reinstalling using the JP-EN setup exe but to no avail. Not sure how he'd fix the Tweaker issues.
I'll get him to post here at some point but for now he's downloading some VPN stuff to see if that's the problem. If that doesn't work I will truly be out of ideas.
Edit: The VPN shit worked for him. Let that be a lesson for future problems, I guess? Good thing too because I was really reaching at that point.
