Well, I started playing the game recently (This weekend actually), and after messing around with the classes, reading some stuff around the forum and all, I decided on playing as a hybrid Br/Hu.

I took a look at some builds and then messed with the simulator, and "came up" with a build (It is almost the same as a build somewhere around here).

http://ryuhiroshi.funpic.de/pso2/skillcalc.php?05wNb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3IkbMbH 0ebInqnGXcBqqInfcAfGA000007b000009b000009b00000ib0 00000lb000000lbf4NdncKrIJ2frD0006

So, thing is, I was wondering about some stuff there.
First, the main-sub class: Which is better, Br/Hu or Hu/Br?

Second, in the Braver tree, which is better: Maxing Rapid Shoot Mastery or Rapid Shoot Up? (Was considering not having Rpd Shoot up and maxing mastery)

Third, for the Hunter tree, should I leave it as it is, or is there something that could be better?

And a question not exactly related to the build: For the mag, how exactly I go about feeding it to reach the stats in the simulator? (If someone can point me to a guide or something on feeding Mags it would be nice too)

Thanks for the attention, and any help. And also, sorry for the long read.

Depends on how you want to build it. If you plan to use agito + HU weapons for example, I personally recommend HUBR due to higher base stats. If you want to use bow, or the other 10* katanas (a couple of which are much cheaper than agito), go BRHU. You mentioned going hybrid, and getting rapid shoot, so I'll assume you want to use bow as well :P

In that case, go BRHU. If so, there isnt much point in wasting 8 SP for sword gear (unless you like using swords, in which case its better to just go HUFI) - put them into fury stance up 2 instead. You might also want to transfer the SP for step attack onto the BR tree instead (to free up more points for fury stance up 2), since it also gives you access to J reversal cover.

Can't say much about the bow skills though, I main katana :P Supposedly braver mag is good for hybrid builds, too. With the mag skill at level 5, a 175 ABI only mag gives you 87 s and r atk, which is perfect for hybrid builds. How to space out the SP for this (hybrid BR) however, someone else might be able to give a better suggestion.

Rapid Shoot Mastery is better, but one point in Rapid Shoot Up gives a good return. That said, I don't really think Rapid Shoot should get too much investment on a hybrid. Average S Charge or Weak S Charge would provide more reliable damage bonuses. One point in RS should be sufficient for the PP regen.

Kay, after reading, and thinking a lot, I came up with this:

http://ryuhiroshi.funpic.de/pso2/skillcalc.php?05eNb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ik6dt7 bInqnGKsN6JiGA000007b000009b000009b00000ib000000lb 000000lOdB4SdncKrIsOfxd0006

I removed 4 points from combat finish, as it I get a 300% boost at 5 and a 200% at 1, so that's 4 points for a 100% boost which in a hybrid build, IDK if it is really necessary. Now with Rapid shoot up at 1 I have the points to put Braver mag at 5, and change the step attack to the Br tree, and also get Just Reversal and J-Reversal Cover (Which I left at 1, as the boost for the other 4 points are just not worth it IMO), and put all the points left into Rapid Shoot Mastery.
In the Hu tree, removed the gears stuff, and the points for step attack, that way I was able to get 10 points in Fury S Up 2.

using this instead if you don't get the S charge

why you have to get both stance at br skills ?
combat finish and rapid shot mastery at low lv gives you nothing much different

actually i don't like to get both sides of br skills
just katana or bow because you ll not have enough SP no maximize each weapon 's dmg
both katana and bow have charged skills so if you don't get the stance S charge is really a waste too

After more thinking, I decided to go with this build:
http://ryuhiroshi.funpic.de/pso2/skillcalc.php?05eNb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ikb3Ik6dt7 bInqnGKsN6JiGA000007b000009b000009b00000ib000000lb 000000lOdBk2dnmxskI2iq0006

I chose on of the stances and took the S charge as recommended, left Rapid Shoot Mastery out, and Katana combat at 7, so this is kinda more focused on katanas, but still makes using a bow possible (I think...)

That looks fine. Only thing I'd consider afterward is how you're gonna build your mag, since you're getting the level 5 skill.

Yeah, that's one important thing...

I'd love to know how to feed it to be pure DEX.
Also, thanks for everyone that helped with the build.
(^.^)

Oh, pure DEX is easy, just feed it PA disks :D

Oh, sweet, thanks.

Now I'm all set to start leveling.

Thanks for all the help.

Couple of things you might want to consider:

1. Maybe putting step and just reversal on hunter; assuming you're not too attached to j-cover. It saves you 6 points.
2. Rapid shoot mastery is very VERY nice if you want to kill bosses with bow more often than katana. That really depends on what you like more. I find that the DPS increase is fabulous. The 6 points from step plus a few points from katana combat would get you full 10... which is 1.15xdamage to all your PAs during rapid shoot. I don't personally find 40s extra on KC cooldown to be the end of life.

Good luck with everything.

Thanks for the advice, I'll consider getting the step on hunter...
And I kinda agree on the CD for Katana Combat.

After playing for some levels I'll see if I change that.

Thanks a lot.
