greetings

So I have a afterglow wired, USB xbox 360 controller that I use to play. It works fine for a few mins, but then the four lights in the center start to blink, then the controller just shuts off. I unplug and and plug it back in, and it works again, but only for another few mins. the four lights is always blinking.

Things I have tried:
I tested it on my xbox and it works fine
I reinstalled the microsoft drivers for the usb 360 controller
I checked my device manager and uninstalled and reinstalled the controller
I updated my USB drivers (it said that it already has the best driver to date)
I cleaned the controller

Nothing seems to work. What could the problem be??

So I nocited something interesting. My controller center light was just one light in the top left (like its suppose to) for a long time. But as soon as I started the game, the four lights started to flash and the controller shut off.
So it has something to do with the game.

It might just be because it's afterglow, they're not the greatest. I love em, but they're kind of... bootleg?

Yeah... this was the very first thing that came to mind, when I started to have problems. If I cant get it to work, ill jsut use a different controller.

Was yours just plug and play? or did you install different drivers?
When I pick the driver to install, for some reason it lists three
Xbox 60 controller for windows version: 2.1.0.1349 [4/8/2009]
Xbox 60 controller for windows version: 2.1.0.1349 [8/13/2009]
Xbox 60 controller for windows version: 6.1.7600.16385 [6/21/2006]

for some reason the higher driver is the oldest. idk why but I picked the driver with the newest date (8/13/2009)
