You might be thinking of Phantasy Star Universe, which has closed down since Sept. 2012.

yes but it says on my xbox that to continue playing online i need to download the newest version thats why im here asking these questions cause it says i need it to play online again

The online servers were shut down long ago. You won't be able to play online with the game in the near future.
