Is there any Memory card that is Corrupt-Proof?
I have been corrupted 8 times.

Once with each. 43 HUmar,63 HUnewearl, 25 Fomar, 15 HUcaseal,10 Fomarl, 30 Ramarl, 36 Racast, 27 Racaseal.

Does anyone know of some "Super Memorycard"?

You're best bet would be to use a Nintendo brand card, since the 3rd parties don't have access to the offical documentation on how to make one, they have to figure it out on their own and things always don't come out right when that happens.

Hm..Thanks. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif Even on my Original GC memory card I was corruptyed once, I've been using Generic, mainly..I should be back up soon. --; Wish I had realized this... I traded my GC Memory card for a Dreamcast, though.

well i just bought a NEW 251 block Nintendo brand MEM card, and its alrady given me a

"the data on this card is corupted etc...."

i didnt beleave it,id only been using it for less then 30 mins, so i pulled it out and put it back in a few times and sure enough, it was a bogus message,

next time you get that error, try to pull out the card and put it back in a few times, before you reformat it... i almost made that mistake

i've been using 3rd party memory cards without a problem, i guess it's just luck of the draw on if you get a bad one or not

I use a Nintendo 251 Memory Card, I've had it for about a month, still hasn't corrupted yet, and I hope it doesn't anytime soon.

It will happen one day,

aaaaaaaanyway....I think "ALL" GC mem cards share the same chance in corupting a file, all I ever used was memcard 59 for PSO (US version) and had two coruptions in 2 weeks.

By the way does anybody know if the JP version of PSO was having coruption probs, cause back with that version I used a mem card 251 and it worked flawless....odd

All I know is that I have been using a Mad Catz memory card 59 and it hasn't corrupted YET. I heard that the memory cards made by Nintendo do not corrupt as easily compared to off brand memory cards and that the 59 by Nintendo was less corruptable than the 251. (this is just what I HEARD so don't try to pin this one on me) http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_innocent.gif

I just think some people are unlucky.. its the natural order of things http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I've put in a little over 250 hours now and not a single lost item or courruption... and I'd say at least 70% of it was online play.

was the same on the dreamcast for me.. over 600 hours by the end and not a single corruption.

I think that your corruption has only to do with the way you are connecting to the internet. My friend has been playing online for about 3 days now and he's FSOD once, and BSOD once too. I've been online since March 7th and no BSOD or FSOD or anything like that. I BSOD twice when I used dial up connection.

The broadband users have a smaller chance of corrupting. IMO

I have been running the Nintendo Memory Card 59 since day 1 without a single hitch. I got the 59 solely for playing this game, nothing else goes on it. What polishedweasel said aswell the broadband does make a difference with network stability. I also went the extra mile and got a UPS (power back up) for my GC and TV in case of a power outage.

Wait, I am not in the understanding of this.

When the FSODX or whatever it is corrupts your memory card, is the whole thing screwed, or just that certain file?

Just your PSO file, every other game save file is left intact http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif, I would have been sooo mad if my Metroid Prime and SSB files where gone http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_bash.gif

Yeah, it TRULY is just a case of bad luck. I haven't had any negative effects with FSODs yet. Well, I HAVE lost meseta, but that's it. I have yet to lose all my unequipped items. Ah well, hope your luck changes. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
