You can get rare critters in any mode (other than Battle mode), from Normal to Ultimate. And it really is irritating to see rare critters in C-mode! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

best bet for one is the forest of sorrow quest.

can you get rares in cmode? Like from a rare monster or something?

rare monsters (personally) r almost useless untill u get in to very hard or ultimate.
