Launching game sends me to a page asking to reinstall?

Came back after a couple years, downloaded the game, installed the game, downloaded tweaker, installed the patch/udated. When I launched I got sent to an I.E. Gameguard webpage showing me how to uninstall games.

I don't know whats causing this as I recently formatted so it's not like a virus thing and I did what I thought was the step by step install process. I also did a quick look on google too see that it must not be a common problem. Anyone ever have this issue?

I've had a similar issue, but it usually comes after an Gameguard error window pops-up, but the game still launches. Try opening the tweaker and going to Troubleshooting and pick "Fix Gameguard Errors."

Do what Anduril said.
That fixed the page thing for me and has started launching the game, But you may now get the 249 error when you try to log in, I'm not if you will but i am
