Hi.

I am not good at English because I am a Japanese, Please be forewarned.

I have been developing a PSO2 damage calculator.

I have noticed there is access to the calculator from overseas.
There was evidence that tried to machine translation in access log.
However, when apply machine translation, this calculator will collapse.

I am currently playing PSO2 in Ship2.
So I want to help overseas users.
I tried to challenge translation.
Its quality is not good. But it might be better than machine translation.

I will be happy if I can be of any help.

Very nice, thanks.
...but I do wonder what the point of setting enemy def is when we don't know specific enemy stats. Or are they on the swiki?

We can calculate status of enemy from damage and player status.
There are not many people that are doing this research.

Examine the defense is barely easy. Because all we need is critical damage.
Dex would be tedious. We takes long time to when it pick up the minimum of damage.

Players who have published the large data researched may be less than 10.
I am one of them, but it is not much research recently.
The large part of information after EP3 is documented in oi_tea's research work.

oi_tea's sheets
PA power, normal attack multiplier, enemy's multiplier, enemy def multiplier, dex, etc

my sheets

damage formula (mainly I edited, EP3 edition)

To read enemy defence from oi_tea's sheet, you will need to understand about defense multiplier method.
This method is breakthrough, but I do not have the ability to explain this in English.

Here is a page of swiki. (by oi_tea and me)
http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%82%A8%E3%83%8D%E3%83%9F%E3%83%BC%E3% 82%B9%E3%83%86%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BF%E3%82%B9
Caution! This page not have back links.
It is so underconstruction. The contents of the chart is incomplete.
I do not know finish it. Because that is completely up to the mood of us.
I take up such link so there is the description of defense multiplier method.

defense multiplier method:

quote:

rough translation:
Defense multiplier method is a hypothesis that rationalize the explanation of defense of enemy.

In the defense of enemy, there is a reference value for each Lv.
The reference value is an integer.
(We can calculate the defense with an accuracy of up to 0.01 if have nearly 100 times magnification)
Assuming that the standard is 100%, defense can be assigned to 80% 90% 95% 100%(standard) 105% 110% 120%.
This is called defense multiplier.

Even when defense is not 100%, the actual defense is an integer.
The defense simply can be determined by the following: floor(standard * defense multiplier)
But some cases are rounded not floor.
Therefore, we need to know the actual value when need very accurate calculation.
For the reference of each Lv and the actual value in each defense multiplier.

The table that used to look up the actual value from Lv and defense multiplier is considered same in meele, ranged and tech.

(Only table is the same. Please be aware that enemies can have different defense multiplier in meele, ranged and tech.)

In the very large magnification, less than 1 difference of attack power and defense will be several tens or hundreds difference in the final damage.
If you want to completely reproduce the damage (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19bfU3PzUoH1hwnK4KypCkDouBvMFOshQuMlFaXW0uGc/edit#gid=2106206147) in PSO2, consider the method of defense multiplier and the fractional part caused by buff.

--
Added:

erosion multiplier (for enemy def): Lv1 1.1, Lv2 1.2, Lv3 1.3
The fractional part caused by erosion multiplier, buff (shifta, drink, etc) and skills(craft mastery etc) are not truncated.

Example:
t-def of Lv65 Quartz Dragon erosion Lv1

Lv65 standard def = 258
t-def multiplier of Quartz Dragon = 1.1
(This is t-def. s-def multiplier of Quartz Dragon is 1.0 (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%82%A8%E3%83%8D%E3%83%9F%E3%83%BC%E3% 82%B9%E3%83%86%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BF%E3%82%B9#eb819138 ))
simplified calculation is floor(258 * 1.1) = 283

We confirm the refer cheat sheet (http://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E3%82%A8%E3%83%8D%E3%83%9F%E3%83%BC%E3% 82%B9%E3%83%86%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BF%E3%82%B9#q5df628c ) because some cases are not floor...

ok, it is 283.
then, multiply the erosion multiplier.
283 * 1.1 = 311.3

311.3 is t-def of Lv65 Quartz Dragon erosion Lv1

I have no confidence which has been exactly translated.

o.O
Thanks.
Didn't know there is already this much information about stats and formulas.

I will check this when I got more time.

I have some questions about the damage calculator and damage formula in general.

1. Where should I add the +400 ATK from BH latent? Weapon's ATP? Affix? (´・ω・`)
2. In the "Skills & PA" section, the PA number is the one we can find in the PA tables on swiki right? ... but how do you find the power of something like a single Homing emission bullet, which has 1527 power on swiki? Same goes for Sat Cannon and other charged PA, I remember someone explaining it here, but can't find the thread.
3. Same section, what are the "Rate" and "PA accuracy" numbers?
4. On the RA skills, why is WHA just a "On/Off" toggle, are they assuming people always max both (which would make sense)? Is that toggle reflecting maxed WHA1+2 multipliers?

1. Try Affix. Weapon ATP will add 50% from attribute.
2. Try PSO2.net. They have more comprehensive information than Swiki regarding breakdown of PA %s.
3. Rate is a universal multiplier. PA Accuracy TBH doesn't do a thing for me but maybe someone else can add.
4. Yes @ both.

I've got another question about PA math:

How do you calculate the damage for a weapon like the sarus punisher or any other weapons with PA boosting latents? It's just +x% of the PA power?

And yeah, I don't really know why but the calc is giving me weird results for Sat Cannon.
4436 power at lv16? wiki says 5x 20% of the notation, which makes sense, but what numbers should I use in the calc? 20% of 4436 to find a single hit damage? or use 4436 to find the total sat cannon damage?

Either should work, I do the same with PBF blades, and it comes out right for me. What do you mean by weird results?

But I noticed a bug, Weak Hit Advance seems to do nothing.

anybody got the def modifiers and hitbox modifiers for demons anywhere; swiki doesnt seem to have them with the others
