Easter Rappies active, everything okay?

Easter Rappies are now appearing. You can find them in VR Temple in any difficulty level (and they almost always drop an Easter Egg regardless of level). The American and Japanese lobby servers consider the items legal. I don't know if the American logon server does though! (I can't test it.)

I made a list of the items you can get by making a ton of Easter Eggs and using them. Here are the possible items you can get from an Easter Egg:

Sonic Knuckle
Rabbit Wand
Wok of Akiko's Shop
Marina's Bag
Panther's Claw
Rocket Punch
Drill Launcher
Huge Battle Fan
Amore Rose (new!!)

If you get an Easter Egg, go offline with it. Use it. If you don't like the item you get, reset without saving and try again.

If you *do* use it online, if anyone else is in your team, you must bank the resulting item then pull it out. If you don't, graphics glitches will occur, because each person sees a different random item from the same egg (game bug...). The bank synchronizes this.

Sonic Knuckles has EXP steal, Drill Launcher has a Lavis-like special, too. Amore Rose doesn't have one. *thinks* Not sure about the rest. I know Huge Battle Fan has confusion as the special, though.

It seems when ST doesn't know what special will fit they just give it confusion. >_>

I found a little minor glitch. It seems that a HUcaseal can technically "use" Amore Rose, but she has no MST, so she can't. It doesn't have a red X by the name and it doesn't say cannot equip. Heh heh.

The console reset button (on the GC) has the same effect as the controller soft reset while playing PSO. Online they disconnect and save the game. Offline it just returns to the title screen without saving.

(Yes this info has come up many times since PSO came out, but there's always people who're learning something new.)

I opened my Easter Egg well over a hundred times and the Demonic Fork never showed up. Either it has a really really low appearance rate, or it isn't acquired from an Easter Egg. Guess we'll have to wait and see for sure.

I decided to keep the Amore Rose it gave me, first because I can equip it and others that I it tried to give me before that I couldn't, and secondly it looks cute and is an interesting weapon to use. Single shot, single shot, multiple shot for a combo.

After 7 runs, I found one...it dropped Marina's Bag. Just what I needed. If my team is in a sticky situation, and we're all spread out, I can equip the bag and have my resta range doubled. Not bad.

Found one in my third try. I used the quick select and accidentally hit the egg while thinking that it said ryuker. It was really late and my friend had put a telepipe where I was standing(let them in to see the rappy), so seeing that telepipe somehow confused me that I was on the tech menu. After more then 400 rappies and approximately 8 hours, I only found one Egg.

I acquired 8 more by trading [They seem to be common now.. hmm.. do I smell duped? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif ] and I now have each of the 9 weapons. Here are my analysis for the ones I can use:

Sonic Knuckles - These are awesome, they make me look like Knuckles. They send sparkles around me when I punch, and its special steals EXP. In Vhard I get 10-15 exp per shot.. not bad. Probably the strongest egg weapon ATP wise.

Drill Launcher - I can't equip it on my RAmar for some reason, is it Cast only?

Rocket Punch - This is a funny weapon. Two big black gloves that shoot out into the air with a burst of flames and smoke. Too slow to actually be useful.

Huge Battle Fan - This makes me laugh, its a GIGANTIC fan that is even bigger then my character, and it makes a funny noise when it slaps someone. Its special is confusion, which can be helpful.

Akious Wok and Shop [?] - Pretty funny, a wok and a ladle, how classic. Its fun to use, but not my favorite.

Rabbit Wand - Can't use it, but its a wand with a rabbit head.

Amore Rose - This is cool, reminds me of Tuxedo Mask [Sailor Moon, yes, I used to watch it. Kill me, I was 8.] Its a card type weapon so its special is 1-1-3. Weak as hell though.

Marinas Bag - A medicinal bag that I cannot use. It doubles the anti/resta range.. very helpful for forces.

Panther Claw - The claw of a panther.. o.o I can't use it.

For those looking for the rappies look a the map link above. It is GREAT. There are only a couple of rooms you have to visit each trip.

Here is what I did.

I created a locked game EP2, normal mode, normal difficulty, went to VR temple 1 and visited the first few rooms...there are rappies in the first few rooms. There are only two different layouts for the level so after a while you will not need the map.

Anyways, visit the rooms with rappies in them...takes only a few minutes...TP out, return to lobby, recreate game and repeat. It took me about 20 tried but it DID happen to me and my first Egg Rappy dropped me a little gift...a cute little egg.

Look earler in the posts if you want to see the easter rappy in screen shots. I have pictures of both my little egg and the cute little rappy. He looks sooo cute in that little egg. I can't believe he tried to kill me...but as a level 95 on easy mode it did him no good...lol.

I had plenty of time to grab screen shots!

I don't know about anyone else...but I smell doopers too. This is unfortunate because half the fun is working your socks off to find that little cute thing. It is just ruining the fun. It at least an hour or two to find each rappy...I hope those doopers are proud of them selfs!!! They just spoiled easter for us!

Now here come the dooped weapons...I thought I would have something cool...but it seems that everyone is getting it by way of dooper's drop rooms!!!

I can say that MY egg is legit. I worked long and hard for it and I am proud of whatever weapon comes out of it. I have not opened it yet...saving that for offline...I want to be happy with what I get...hehe.

I'm not sure what you cannot find. It's all in the database, all the items that can be found from the easter eggs have updated stats including their special attacks, their stars, grinds, etc. It's been there since last night.

No, and no. Egg Rappies have the same drop patterns in all difficulty levels. The spawn rate of rare monsters is completely unrelated to diffculty level (and provably so).

to the swiss guy: a "run" just means an attempt. you can go on a run on any level, Forest through Ruins as an example. its just another term for a "try" or a "walkthrough". hope that helps, your English is very good!

Hmmm...
I have gotten two Egg Rappys to appear for me.
I think my section ID has something to do with it.
Each time I used normal temple.
My section ID is Viridia.
I got each one after about 22 runs.
This equals 128 rappys.
This is also about .78125% chance.
Both times they dropped eggs.
I found the second one and let a friend join the game and kill it because he had not found one yet...he has one now.

I hope this helps someone.

The Wok is actually more powerful than you think. I am able to do 600 - 1100 per hit with the special attack. This is in Ultimate forest (online) but it is still extreme damage for a wok and ladle.

I did tons (100+ at least...) of runs and never found but one, and he got away.... arghhh!!!! Stupid items not allowing me to attack!!!! But many people think the items are so crappy, they practically give em away. I got two for a Last Survivor and 9 Pdrops. I'm happy, they're cool. I got Sonic Knuckle and my Girlfriend will be sporting the rabbit wand. Yay!!! Happy Easter!!!!

Well I got one in solo after a few runs. Sonic Knuckle!

Then I went on to help a friend find his. Took a bit longer but we got an egg.

You know, it took me about 8+ hours yesterday doin runs and searchin over, and over, and over again. I finally found one!!! I was so happy, but then by that time, I happend to notice that they were everywhere!! By the time I shut my unit off last night, I had 11 total. I found one and ended up receiving 10 just from trades and people just dropin or giving them to me......very dissapointing. So badly duped, but hey, I guess thats how they get off...O well, T-minus 72 hours and I will be XBox connected. And for now, that means enjoyment in knowing that for a while no dupers....They'll find a way u say? Im sure they will, they always do........so long my trusted gamecube.....ill miss you!

Kagaro- Your in a fantasy land if you thing the Xbox is dupe free. It's actually easier to dupe if you know how to mod your box. But oh well. It's already rampent from what I hear.
