Photon Blast Combo+Donation

How do you perform a Photon Blast Combo? And I've heard about donating phonton blast. What is this and how is it performed.

How embarassing, playing through both DC versions and GC to death and not discovering these! And they call me a legend!

Team members just set thier pb's simutenasly , to donate pb just press x(or y) and it will make other players pb more powerful.
This is how me and my friends on multi do it anyways.

Can you donate PB energy offline as well? Also, when the animation sequence when the photon blast is fired (such as pilla firing the blast, or the dolphin charging forward) is that when you press the X or Y button to donate?
