something everyone should be careful of

Walked into a room, screen froze, buzzing sound and nothing happening then even though i unplug the modem the only thing i can do is turn of my GC.
This causes all my PSO files to be corrupted, that is all my characters, all my guild cards, and yes my online setup as well. I dont really know why im warning people here there doesnt seem to be any way of guarding against it as far as i can see.
On another note if any UK people feel like giving a brand new RAcast a hand i would appreciate it very very very much indeed its not as if i can transfer weapons from another of my characters http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif.
So anyway can anyone out there help me at all please?

thats called an rsod (r=ringing). I've had at least 2 of them but didn't get corrupted. I guess I was lucky.

I got the xbox version and this freezing hasn't happened to me. Thank God. Has this happened to any other Xbox people?
