so previously, i was having the issue were i was getting the gameguard NP1002 error preventing me from playing the game. so i went into settings, update and security, recovery, and reset windows, a full reset on the main drive where i had windows fixed my issue. note that i had upgraded from windows 8.1, so upgrading may cause the issue. hope this helps everyone out there a bit

Wait, so did you revert back to Windows 8.1 or did you just reinstalled/reset Windows 10?

The system sound in windows 10 is what's causing the crashing you have to mute all sound on your pc and it should work fine.

Idk why the sound causes you to crash but that is the issues, I didn't have sound the first day I updated to windows ten and pso2 worked fine but then the day after when I turned the sound back on I started crashing every 10 minutes.

Sry for necroposting

But I tried this solution and it didnt work
Pso2 still crashes my pc on win10 at startup
I tried deactivating avast no deal
I tried launching with the original launcher no deal
With and without patches nothing
I cant pinpoint the reason why pso2 crashes my pc

Alright so this might or might not help.

build this for myself to fix pso2 crashing randomly.

this is a version that only disables the service responsible for it.

Run as admin or it will not work.

about the audio

doing this fixed allot of stuff for me.

I'm also having the exact same issues (Game crash w/o warning 10-20 min in).

I tried running Gama's program, but it didn't have an effect. Is there any tricks to getting that to work, or am I just out of luck?

I've been tirelessly fighting this for about 4 days now, any help would be appreciated.

did you run it as admin?

Yes, I ran as admin. Twice for good measure, but it doesn't change much.

Edit: But it looks like disabling my sound driver did the trick. Thanks for your help, all the same :)
