Right lets get started. I hope tech can help. I know abit of tech not a whole lot.

So I recently purchased express VPN for one month. I click on Japan VPN.
So it connects successfully. Yay.
PSO2.jp direct no issues.
PSO2 direct the ships show green now, but on ship connect , it shows disconnected immediately. not even in the sign in page.
The tweaker works fine , yes but I would like to use the VPN i have bought.

Next the VITA. I have PSO2 on my VITA. With my VPN how can i connect it.
If I am at home how do I do it? (any tutorials on how)?
If I am out and roaming around , how do i connect on my VITA.

Hope a tech can guide me on how do it.

I have no idea how to do it. :-?

VITA doesn't support VPNs itself, the VPN needs to be setup on the access point

Damn. With access point I suppose you mean routers? I understood that this can be done with something called DD-WRT routers?

Could you tell me what VPN I should pick from here: http://comparisonvpn.com

There's so many to choose from and they all seem to have similar specs.

access point can be a router or a pc with a dedicated wi-fi card in access point mode and as to picking VPNs, no idea which are good, go with some trial if some have and see if it's good and go for subscription if it works well for you; glancing over, avoid CyberGhost and IPinator, it seems like they use their own software, PIA might too

It sounds like you still have lingering addresses in the hosts file.

What you need to do is go to:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and open the hosts file in a text editor, and remove the IP addresses in there at the bottom (there should be 11 entries or something that refer to the PSO2 ships).
I dunno if the Tweaker can do this for you with a setting, since I never use it.

most wifi USB adapters should work fine as access point, so using the built in card to access the internet on the laptop and then the USB wifi card as access point or the reverse in case the USB card can't be used as an access point would allow you access indeed - i think technically phones can act as access points too nowadays but not too sure about that, you'd need to check smartphone oriented forums

Thank you everyone for all your help, however, I will be canceling my paid VPN .
yes they do have a 30 day back money.

From the posts everyone has replied, it seems too troublesome..
I'll just delete it and use the VITA for other games.

no one can tell if the connection you personally use is blocked, only way to know is to test yourself, people who asked about VPN stuff here were blocked, I personally am not
