Hey all!

There were 2 times i could get into the game and make a character and play with it for a while, but at those moment i didn't had the English patch installed so it was in fully Japanese

But stupid me wanted to understand it a little bit so i tried to install the English Patch, English Large Files(new method) and English Story Patch. After that it all went bad

Now i'm having the same problem for days so if someone can please help me solve this problem? I keep getting the message ''The procedure entry point DirectDrawCreate could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Opengl32.dll.'' when i launch the game from PSO2 Tweaker. Sadly i haven't found a way to fix it with the help of Troubleshooting or information on the internet.

Now i don't even care about the fact it was in fully Japanese, i just want to play agian:(
So if Anyone has suggestions for solving this issue that would be super awesome!

How about removing those file from tweaker? If you've done that, have you tried uninstalling & start with a fresh download? That should reset the path & hopefully the error. Also, avoid that file next time?

Try going into your pso2_bin and deleting the Plugins folder.

So i installed the PSO2 with the torrent (PSO2E4JP_SETUPEN) what you can download from ark-layer.com. after that i did Troubleshooting >Check for Old/Missing Files >Check for Deleted/Empty Files
Even did Troubleshooting > Analyse Install for Issues > Done testing If you got any errors here, please carry out the recommend steps. But it is all clear are no errors

Still i keep getting the message ''The procedure entry point DirectDrawCreate could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Opengl32.dll.''

What am i doing wrong ? how can i fix this entry point DirectDrawCreate that is screwing me so i can't even play anymore:-?

I am very grateful for all the help!

You can try the .bat method (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3321007&postcount=1) to launch the game, and see if that works. (make sure to change the target in that post to the correct location of your install)
If it does work, you can just use the Tweaker to patch the game, and use the .bat to launch it.

Have you tried Downloading/Launching the game using only the file from the Official site?

Got it working now with the English Patch!
Used the option Recovery Reset This PC and installed PSO2 with Tweaker, after that launching the game was no problem.

So i want to thank everyone who helped me :-D

Judging by how OP fixed it and the error message itself...

''The procedure entry point DirectDrawCreate could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Opengl32.dll.''

I'd search your computer for that dll and see if you have it.

I am getting this same error now with multiple fresh installs and have checked my PC and the file it's saying could not be located is def there. No idea how to fix this. I randomly get hard FPS lag in game every once in awhile. Not sure if this is what causes it or what :/

Hmm. If I launch from sega's launcher it works fine. Only happens with the Tweaker.

Okay... so I figured out it's for sure the ddraw.dll that is causing the issue. Tried using the pso2startbat with that in place and error happened again. I really like the tweaker plugins, but I can live without them I suppose. Anyone happen to know a fix for this?

I'm on windows 10 64bit, I tried reinstalling and no luck. It seemed to be the ddraw.dll from the tweaker that was causing it, if I stuck that in the folder and used the start bat it would still give me the error. I just installed PSO2 on an external HDD and it isn't getting the error now. It would be lovely to be able to use my SSD instead but can't figure it out at all.

Nevermind, now the copy on my external drive is getting the same error. Didn't the 1st to launches.

I gave up and refreshed my windows 10, and now it's working fine again atm.
