I'd be more likely to argue that PSO is more similar to the original Diablo. (3 classes in Diablo, 3 class types in PSO; spells learned by book/disk with the spell level defining the power of the spell; a mix of random and unique items; etc) The fact stands that there are some major similarities between the two titles, and the author of this editorial is too busy attempting to shoot the comparisons down to point out that there are in fact legitimate comparisons to be made (not of the "Both allow you to name your character" variety).
I loved Diablo, I love Diablo 2, I love PSO. The fact that there are similarities between D1 and PSO is rather evident to those who have played both titles, and despite the author's apparent dislike of this fact, comparisons are in fact legitimate.

Who cares if PSO is similar to D2?? I sure don't. Just reconize them as good games and leave them alone : P. Hehehe..
