While reading the offical Phantasy Star Online Dricas website, I came across a report regarding the server maintenance which is taking place today. Users of PSO ver. 2 who possess illegitamate items will not only be blocked from joining a game and prompted to dispose of the item offline but they will not be allowed to connect to play for the remainder of the day. You can read all about it here (http://pso.dricas.ne.jp/new.html), assuming you can read Japanese or use an online translating service.

i think its good to see sega finally taking a step toward stopping cheaters. look at it this wzy, most people who make hacked items don't even really need them, in fact most of them just give these items to unwary newbies (especially that hacked god hp unit that takes hp to 0/0.) anyway kudos to sega.

For the rest of the day? That could really hurt somebody who honestly doesn't know they have a hacked item. Anyways, Sega has made a good step towards discouraging cheating.

I got on today, and found out that this happened to JeBz...
I know JeBz (as does Wata) and I don't think he knew he had an illegal item...
I only played with him, like, twice, so I'm not sure, but...now I'm afraid I might have an illegal item that I don't know about...
I DON'T WANNA BE BANNED (once I get ver.2 anyway, lol)!!!!

But still, I am glad that Sega is trying to stop cheaters!!! I hope it works...

Well...I dont know much of ver.2 bot i think you can shek your items in offline mode in a shek room to delete that illegal items from you and then if you have a illegal item you dont know when you enter online you will not have illegal items because you shek your stuff.
PD:I DONT have ver.2.

I came on today after playing offline all nite
due to the server upgrade to find that Sega
thinks I have an illegal item. I have never
traded, nor duped or used a GS. Everything
I have is 100% legit and found by me. I
also have no idea which item they assume
is illegitimate. I found a Devil Battle in the ruins,
are these now banned (although found offline)?
I thought it might be the fact that I didn't use
all my traps, so I deleted those. I deleted all
spells I found over level 15 thinking that as a
RAcast Sega thinks I shouldn't have them.
I am at a loss. If they are going to ban an item
that they themselves put in the game, then
they should pinpoint the item to the player.
I don't want to go through this awful guessing
game (and I don't want to delete the Devil
Battle unless absolutely necessary), as it
also mentions that the account of the user
may be terminated in the warning box that
appears when you try to join a team. Do we
only get so many guesses before it's Game
Over for good?
If anyone knows anything further, please post.
