Thanks to "Jon" for sending this through the mail: click here for the article (http://www.gaminginfinity.com/news/9997294128423.html). Gaming Infinity reports that they will both be compatible very easily! Now, won't the console wars begin with cross-platform multiplayer online gaming! ^_^;;

Well, thats nice, except for the fact that now DC and GC hackers are in one place now... hopefully they'll wipe each other out..

The new classes automatically get booted to their own servers or what!?
(...unless I'm not seeing something. It's early.)

Yeah I thought that was the factor that would have prevented DC vs GC. Glad I'm proven wrong (also glad that that means they won't be going through with my other theroy that they would be lowering the bandwith for DC users once GC players came on board).
Maybe'll ST will take care of it the same way they take care of v2 weapons in v1: translate them into a v1 lookalike weapon. FOmars will look like FOmarls to DC users (which may explain why they dont look radically different to begin with)

Well, could this mean that the US DC Version2 also has the new classes? Maybye not, but we can always hope. I'm not sure that the Ver2 Item change scheme could work here. We'll just have to wait and see.

My question is, will it somehow be possible to move current characters over to the gamecube version? what do you think that chances of that are?

The new character skins are on the DC disk, so you'll probably be able to see them.

Yeah, I think that'd be great. I've got 7 characters who are all over level 50 (most are over 60) and I'd hate to leave them all behind.
