Neo Rei writes, "Might be old news, but it seems the folks behind the Freeloader - Datel - released a keyboard for the GameCube. The direct link to their online shop is here (http://www.codejunkies.com/shop/product.asp?c=GB&cr=GBP&cs=%A3&r=1&l=1&ProdID=167). "

Another keyboard solution perhaps? The keyboard is attractively priced at 19.99 pounds or 19.99 US dollars as you can see here (http://www.codejunkies.com/shop/product.asp?c=US&cr=USD&cs=$&r=0&l=1&ProdID=167&CountryID=US). It has a release date of March 28th. Join the discussion in the forums here (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=44172&forum=1&34).

Cool, but it says it costs 19.99 pounds. Does it work with the US Gamecube?

This is wonderful news, if not a little late on Datel's part.

Which Datel is known for. It took how many months of date push backs for the Freeloader to be released? I hope it stands strong, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed back, far.

There is a link in there for the US page and price

But does it work on a US GC? Will it mess with my GC because it's 3rd party? Is it even as cool as the import kb/controller?! So many questions!

Yes, what she said ^^^^^^^

But I wouldn't buy a $120 keyboard anyway....I'm not that dumb to buy one.

That's pretty awesome...now I won't have to dish out 80 smackers for that damned ASCII thing.

Even though I'm not playing the GC version it's still great news. At least now the Gamecube community has a chance to be saved from the brink of death. Hopefully it comes out soon.

While months and months of waiting for this damned thing, I've already moved to the PS2 and EQoA playing late night and chatting/typing it up on my nice keyboard i was able to use the same day I got the game. I even got the game for free when i got the modem, sweet deal.

if this had happened, oh, say, less than 3000 years after the release of the game, sega would still be yanking out the $15 from my wallet every month. instead now, i'm happily handing over my nice little $10 to sony every 30 days. pretty sweet deal. I'll never play PSO GC again.

$15 a month for GC PSO? What are you talking about? The Hunters License is only $9.95/month, right?

thats your fault for being canadian, kidding. Everquest is a poor mans mmorpg

I am not a fan of evercrack but PSO is not a mmorpg.

Excellent. The other company should lower their keyboards price if they want to make much more from it. It's still better, but not THAT much better.
