Anonymous writes, "Just wanted to let you know that a new version of PSOProxy - the snapshot transfer tool for Gamecube PSO - has just been released.
This version includes fixes so that it works with the PAL version of PSO without you having to change any config files. Also, there's now a Linux version available as well as the regular Windows version.
The program and documentation are available from http://psoproxy.sourceforge.net/

lol... Right you are Snapple. I still wish we can take snapshot anywhere within PSO beside using a computer to do it.

The Linux version means that if someone sets it up on a server with an e-mail client running, you simply put in the IP address and Proxy number of the server, and upload the picture to it, upon which it can e-mail the picture back to you. Like the old pso.donut.dhs.org picture converter from the DC version.

It was probably a good idea to not give dirty americans the upload ability. We're a waste of network transfers and money :3

We'd need to add a little bit of code in to PSOProxy to support that, but it'd probably be trivial to just munge the email addresses into the pictures' filenames as it writes them out, then you could have a cron job that periodically checks through the image folder and mails off anything that's in there.

Definitely something to think about.

Too funny... If the pso proxy people had only replied to my posting on sourceforge the day they released 0.8, a Linux version I developed independently would've been delivered the same day.

Oh well. NIH syndrome.
