sweet jesusem H crow i hope this is some kinda sick joke taken 2 far. i mean, really, why would they take a winning games formula and change it to some crappy card games thing *shudders*.

granted some of these card based games r quite good (though im not a fan myself), but the reason why i got into pso was mostly because of the combat structure. hell when my m8 davey first told me about pso, the first thing i asked him was it some FF rip off with shitty turn based play.

either sonic team r playin and elborate joke (i really hope so) or their milking the good pso brand for all they can.

course ep3 could turn out 2 be a real corker of a game. and if it is good, i'll play it. but when u change a game so much (ya dont see valve trying 2 do a real time strategy take on half life 2!!)..... its risky. i hope they prove me wrong.

Just as I thought, PSO Ep.III will share the same lobby as Ep.I&II. :) Card Revolution players' names' will probably appear in yellow, just like on the dreamcast with Ver.2.

Hey all! Here's my take on Episode III. Sure it might be a great game but Phantasy Star Online this is not! Sure PSO was in need of a facelift but a card game?! Come on!!! Instead of giving us what I hear all of us screaming for, more levels, new monsters, weapons and perhaps even a true sequel, Sega has ignored us! I guess they feel that they must jump on the band wagon and make trendy games to sell their products. I dont believe that is so. It's a real shame to see PSO take this turn.

Right now there are alot of people complaining and talking like they arent going to buy this game! I wish this would hold true but sadly most people now a days talk like this and then go out and buy the game! Ya know guys the best way to tell any company what you think of their product is to NOT buy it. Tell em it's a piece of crap by not buying into their gimmicky trendy marketing! I will not be buying this game as it's simply not what I want. I am only one person but at least when Sega continues to put out crap i maintain the right to bitch and complain! Each time something like this happens everyone gets upset, talks big, then caves in thus allowing these companines to continue producing garbage.

I'm sure we'll hear next that Sega will be quoted as saying something like "This doesnt mean PSO will remain a card based game" That is also garabage. Look at poor Metroid Prime! Even though its' a fun game it's 1. still not Metroid, and 2. everyone bought this game after crying their eyes out over the directions they had taken the game. Now we are getting a sequel that is not only First Person, but a multiplayer Metroid. NOW it's offically Doom...er ah I mean Half Life. Come on guys if your really upset over this speak up and then...DONT buy this game and dont let websites like IGN, Gamespot, etc. fast talk you into believeing it's a great game because they've played it! Those sites and others have their hands in game companies pockets and get alot of kick backs and other benefits for good reviews and fixing polls!

Who knows mabye some of you are right and this will all turn out to be a joke. LOL I would certainly hope so. Hey mabye Phantasy Star 5 could be made into a Sims game, WOW, or Episode IV could be made into a side scrolling platform game! :)

oh god , i did not think sega would do this, i LOVE pso and when i saw the screens i was like "hey this has hella better graphics" but as i read on i realized the sad truth , this game is going to suck. i can handle a "regular" RPG but a freaking card game? well i dont want to buy it (and endorse this pervesion of my beloved PSO) but i feel like i have to a sequel like this might be a bitch but it could be ok...right?

P.S.:metroid prime kicked ass and the fps part was good th it made everything creepy...

This game is going to suck so bad. They should have done something like make the next PSO an MMORPG...I think that'd do the GameCube good and extend it's lifetime a little bit as well as granting me some fun.

geez, I will not be picking this one up. Pso 1&2 is ok but this is tard. I have magic decks and wargaming figures for this kind of garbage. wow, a game where we sit and play cards online.... lets just call this psohearts or psofreecell.

I agree. The best way to not get sucked into this absolute pure garbage that Sega is producing is not to buy it. While we may be a few, if we as a whole refuse to degrade ourselves and buy pure crap then Sega will be forced to bring out better products.

Don't try petitions. Those like never work. The only way we can show Sega they are putting out material I wouldn't let my dog touch is to not buy it.

I'm definately not getting this game. After the poor showing at E3, I wouldn't even take it if I were given it free...

hmm.. see that character select screenshot? i looks very familar.. kinda like PSOI&II mebbe? it looks like this game will have some amazing multiplayer battles that require more strategy than the 1st 2 games but it also reminds me of the card battling minigame on Final Fantasy 8, who know where you talk to people and they'll duel you. mebbe Ep3 will be like that. we'll just have to wait til it comes out won't we =)
