Well, Demo Comet is a lot easier to get. I found one from a Red Slime without looking for it and piped another one. I have yet to find a Cudgel. And actually, there's a glitch in the game that makes the Demo Comet do more damage than the Cudgel, even though it has 10 less ATP. Pretty strange. Plus if you find a Demo Comet with hit % (like mine http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) then you'll have plenty of ATA even with a HUcast.

The ease of finding a Deomolition Comet vs a Meteor Cudgel is entirely dependant on which class you are. I've never heard of the glitch that you mentioned, but I have both weapons and have never noticed that. I've found two Meteor Cudgels (both with hit %) and one Demo Comet (no stats), so I guess I've had just the opposite experience with the two weapons that you have. I think the special on the Meteor Cudgel is the better of the two weapons though.

It really has nothing to do with how easy it is to find a weapon.

Each weapon has a maximum and minimum attack power. Meaning that a weapon with a power of 150-180 will give between 150 and 180 (added to your base atp) to any enemy randomly.

The Demo Comet's max is almost the exact same as the minimum. The Cudgel's minimum is roughly 150-300 lower than its maximum.

So thereby the Demo IS more reliable in combat. I have tested this out myself.
