Following the end of the <a href="http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/news/wis/?mode=view&id=190" >New Years event</a> on January 11th, the Japanese version of Phantasy Star Universe will be receiving a <a href="http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/news/wis/?mode=view&id=201" >large content update</a>. This update will include several new missions/items and a level cap increase. Here is a detailed overview:
S2 Rank Missions - S2 (also known as SS) represents the next difficulty level for PSU missions. The first S2 missions will include Unsafe Passage, Fight for Food, and a mission in the Lakeside area. There is a very good chance that 10 star and above items will drop in these difficulties.
Chapter 6 Story Mode Mission - This mission will take place on the train stage of Parum.
Selectable Ranks for Story Mode Missions - You can now select the rank difficulty for the Story Mission you want to play. Previously, it was based on your level.
New Holiday Decorations - These decorations will remain up until Feburary 1st. It is likely that you will be able to buy items like the Level Cap Increased to 80
