The voting galleries for the Event Illustration (http://www.pso-world.com/event_illustration_contest.php) and Stick Figure Assault (http://www.pso-world.com/stick_figure_assault_contest.php) contests are now open. Stop by each voting gallery and vote for the submission that you like the best. The winner of each contest will receive an art book autographed by Takao Miyoshi! The second, third, and fourth place winners in each contest will receive a rare Phantasy Star Universe figure. Be sure to choose carefully since you will only receive one vote in each gallery. The voting period will end on June 28, 2009. Good luck to all of the participants!

Some really awesome entries on both sides.
Good luck everyone!

I think it's sad that I entered both and don't want to win first...I want figures, not really a book. Though I'll take the book if I do win...>.> But I collect figures more than art books. ^-^ Good luck to everyone else who entered though! ^-^

Strange situation. But, let's hope you'd get what you want. ;]

Thanks. I'm hoping. ^-^ I'm still really hoping to pick figures if I get one...I want a Mirei figure for my Dad (he plays too).

If you win first, think theyl let you trade the book for a figure if another winner wants the book?

Well, if you win, I'd be more than willing to hand you the figure I'd win for the book. ;o
Provided I end up second. If I'm third or fourth, it seems fair to let those with a better ranking having the priority on such a "trade".

I think that the previous psow art contest that allows people to post their works in thread, look better than this.
may be letting people posts their works will encourage more people to participate?

It's better to keep the artists anonymous for voting, otherwise it turns into a popularity contest.

Indeed. We all know how often popularity contests turn out.

I agree on keeping it anonymous. I don't even think entries would have been any different whether the contest was anonymous or "open". It just happens that this one took place at a time where people coincidentally seems less interested in the art section than usual.
Previous art contests held on PSOW took place during periods with a more active userbase, and also at a time where people perhaps had more free time to spend on their art. Is it bad I've been able to tell who drawn some of the illustration entries just because their style is very recognizable, though?

Yeah, you may recognize someones style. But I think it's still better ;)

I'm glad it's anonymous too. I hate how it can easily turn into a popularity contest like it was said before. Even if it's not difficult to recognize some people works :)

Making it anonymous is good in case you have new artists or something too. Plus, you may be able to tell styles, but some ppl may have the same style anyways...This way you just pick your favorite image...^-^
