I was saying EP6 is the Cast Episode for so long. Etoile tutor is yet another nail in the coffin.
If EP7 happens it'll be Duman focused.

True, why would a Cast develop a class dependant on technics. Probably looked at the Rod and though "... man it would really hurt if I start hitting people with this :D" and BAM Wand Affix was born.

That opening was sweet! It's been quite some time since we had an opening suggest a true space sci-fi setting.

Also is this the first opening video where we see an actual Summoner?
Does anyone have subtitles for the song lyrics for us non-native-English speakers?

We still don't know the actual multipliers but from what I can see so far
Br/Et might be a viable choice
Flat Attack bonus boosts Katana Counters
All Attack Bonus + ET JA Bonus + JA Critical = Big PA damage
Same Arts PP Save improves Sakura Endo T0 Spam
No idea how it'll work on Bow since I never played with that weapon much.

Ra/Et could work as well
Standing Massive makes Standing Snipe much safer.
Damage Balancer & Etoile Boost gets rid of Rangers squishyness
Same Arts PP Save helps with more End Attract memes

Fi/Et Probably will see benefits as well
Damage Balancer reducing Damage taken by 70% is the ultimate band-aid to Limit Break
ET JA Bonus and JA Critical give same conditionals as a Hu subclass.
Same Arts PP Save doesn't mesh well with Fi playstyle but Tech Arts Count Up does.

Based on that skill tree it looks like getting everything would just be 8 more points than you get at level 90, so you can basically drop one ofthe 10 point skills and get everything else. I'd need numbers to decide what would be worth dropping though.

200 class cubes seems excessive, i think 100 would have been a lot better and its going to suck for anyone who has planned to convert class cubes during this weeks affix week if they need cubes. Either way, its off to the solo PD UH mines for those U. Boosters, people going to have to run Masq for class cubes and i suppose buying them out of the SQ shop is another alt but its like 20 of them.

the Plat (w/e the eng name is) mats are going to be a lengthy grind granted you've been running armada and have been getting lucky on top of exchanging Gold Prize Medals for craft materials.

All in all the weapons are presumably 200 atk based higher than Lightstream but the potentials are still unknown (assumption is they'll get the Gen One 14* pots) along with 14% dmg and 20% crit better be worth the hassle in the end, same with the units

XrosBlader821
Nov 12, 2019, 05:06 AM
That much? I hope it worth it...

Apparently the sword has 220 more S-ATK than LS and the S5 they showed in the trailer has exact same conditionals as Akatsuki. No clue what the Effects are tho and the novel pot is 14% by default so assuming thats still a thing Liberate might very well be better than LS. Sega kept their promise of LS only lasting as top weapon till the end of 2019 I guess.

200 class cubes of one type or could it possibly be of mixed type? (i.e 100 Fo and 100 Ph)
This makes me feel a bit salty since I converted my excess class cubes for regular ones since I ran out a few boost weeks awhile back :/

Have they announced or implied that they may add an upgrade path for these crafting materials? ie.
10x Gold- -> 1x Plat-
10x Saphard -> 1x Emerard
10x Emerard -> 1x Diard
The above would be a godsent.

The 200 class excubes requirement sounds awful for casual players, but we may be getting additional ways to farm them? Maybe new level cap of 95 and additional exp campaigns (as if we're not drowning in them)?

Also, that Novel Upgrade Stone... where will we be getting that?

so something i almost never do and correcting myself (because i genuiely dont craft), I thought the Plat materials came from 15*'s when they obviously don't. So if you're looking for easy Plat materials, its highly recommended you run Lumin UQ since you get at least 1-3 14*s almost every run and average runs are about 10-15mins long. So this will be a boring nightmare for me to go back to but very needed for those craft materials

I only have one thing to say.

God forbid Sega get a bit more creative with these weapons and create something new and not borrowed from older weapons. People want JT to die already but who knows at this point if thats going to happen. I dont know how to feel if suddenly Liberate Rod gets EPD's pot, seems cool but just why. Sega's past 15* releases haven't been all that good either

I just like spread needle and akatsuki, and I'm not really fond of weapons with interesting potentials becoming obsolete. If the only way to keep them relevant is to add them to new weapons then sure. I actually think a lot of the recent 15*s are pretty interesting, but there's a bunch of super unique weapons being left at the wayside because they have relatively low stats and no SSAs. I'm not too worried about creativity with what seems to be the generic episode 6 weapons anyway.

Also who is people in the context of wanting JT gone? It doesn't seem anywhere near as ubiquitous as Lavis Cannon was in its heyday.

I can agree with that

It was competing with Atra Ex at the time but bolts need to hit to compete properly but LS wins over it. Now if you give it to Liberate, it might as well just be JT all over again which I guess isn't too bad of an idea but the fact is it's going to stay on Liberate DB's for a long time again. I guess for me is that we need to move on from older stuff like those but giving it some more though, I suppose giving those unique pots as S5's isn't too bad of an idea either. I'm flip flopping around these choices, moving on though is my main prerogative

I certainly don't want there to only be one good option, I actually wasn't aware how potent JT was in the grand scheme of things. I thought it was like Rykros with a common, but specific niche or something. Granted, I honestly wouldn't consider JT to have a very exciting pot or anything, it's mostly the ones that open up or enhance specific play styles, strategies, or synergies that I'm interested in, and ultimately, JT is just more damage on top of your PAs.

Ya its great to have the additional damage on PA's but again I don't think we should keep latching on to this forever but hey if it works fluidly enough for Et i may not have any qualms about it anymore but it's up in the air right now until we see more of those new S5's. There is no such thing as interesting potential, only higher dps. You can have a weapon that automatically heals, grants 90% avoidance, stuns enemies, doubles the amount of drops from bosses and has unique special visual and audio effects when used; as long as there is another weapon that sims 1% higher, the former is obsolete and useless.

Exaggeration but you catch my point.

Speak for yourself? A lot of my friends are ecstatic about the posibility of Liberate being better Jupiter Tullus, Gilles Weihen, Lavis Canon etc.
Kai pots are cool and all but considering that the only thing Complex PA scale with are raw stats they obviously wont age well.

Exaggeration but you catch my point.Most of the slightly weaker weapons with good/interesting pots are still good enough to do literally everything in the game. Absolute top tier dps only matters for people trying to go above and beyond. My main concern isn't weapons with interesting potentials being weak, its them being so weak in the wake of power creep that they aren't even an option for completing relevant content at all. I'm fine with Spread Needle and Exacrimav having less damage than a LS rifle, I use them so I can recover pp quickly and consistently while mobbing as phantom and have higher dps uptime.

I'm honestly really sick of your constant hyperbole about people getting their panties in a knot over tiny percent differences, when they're not tiny though.

I'm merely overemphasizing the elitist mentality that permeates online communities. But come on, you definitely have encountered people who would react as I describe :)Not to that degree no. Usually it's in cases where someone is comparing two functionally similar things with one just being objectively weaker, or someone stating they want do something they think fits the playstyle they have in mind on paper, but functionally doesn't. Every high end player I've seen has been pretty explicit about how well you play being a bigger factor than whether or not your weapon has more damage. More damage helps, and obviously if you're trying to be the best of the best you take everything you can get, but no one thinks that's required for any of the content in the game except maybe forever loner. There's also the fact that a lot of people ask for "the best" of something, so obviously people are going to point at the strongest raw dps weapons, simply because they'd be the most all-around useful. No one is going to call you a leech for using Rengokuto Guren instead of LS katana. But when you're in a position to choose between the two, obviously LS is the better option in that case.

Just look at tacts. There's much more variance in meta tacts because the damage differences between them are LITERALLY at most a little over 6%. Like, the one place where your hyperbole actually applies shows how wrong the idea is. Heck, I still consider nem and slave tacts useful even though they have no damage multiplier at all.
