The game won't even start with Steam

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. The launcher pops up, I try to start the game. Gameguard appears in the corner for a second then everything goes away. Running it as admin doesn't seem to make a difference.

Were you able to log into the game before? If you were and you haven't restarted your PC since your last play session then you could try restarting it as Gameguard's service can get stuck.
