What if through time, you've gotten a duped item. Can you get in trouble if you had no idea?

So far, no proof has been shown that dupes cause any problems to your character data, looks, umm and etc.
But you will get a shit load of psow users yelling at you cuz they think you have dupes

if its a realy rare item its probably duped frum a trade but theres no way uf telling

But what if its a really high % wep and a legit
l8er you find a low % duped wep.
But still i dont think there is a way of telling for sure unless you ask the person who gave it to you
