If you use it on a blue barrier, it will make a merge that boosts Barta. Only the simple spell though.

Yeah, you'd need an Amplifier of Blue to cover each Barta.

How do you "use it on a barrier"?
I've got two Amplifier of Barta's and one Amplifier of Yellow. Is it like a slot on armor? I'm a lvl 35 FOnewearl w/about 480MST.

Each amplifier comes with a barrier as well.

Example:

Amplifier of Blue + Blue Barrier = Blue Merge

About the Amplifiers, Barriers, and Merges:

There are several special barriers that can be transformed into Merges, such as the Blue Barrier, the Recovery Barrier, and more. When you have these equipped, and you use a special Amplifier, they transform into a Merge. Say you have a Recovery Barrier equipped, and you use an Amplifier of Resta. Your Recovery Barrier will transform into a Resta Merge, which gives your Resta a wider range.
