Item: Red Mechguns

Can "RED MECHGUNS" be used by any character class? I know all other character classes can use regular type mechguns. But in the item database, it shows ranger only. Are there any FOs or Hunters out there currently using these succesfully?

I've notice that i've been able to use red slicers, handguns and saber w/ all classes so far. And since mechguns and vulcans can be usually be used by all classes as well, I don't see why red mechs would be any different. Anyone out there with red mechs? please help.

Unfortunately, the Red Mechgun is ranger only in E1&2. Really lame, imo, but it keeps over-powerful hunters from becoming even more over-powerful. If you can play online the S-rank Mechgun has the same max ATP as the Red Mechgun and can be used by all classes, but it has a low ATA.
