Alright I found this out just today while piping for Al Rappies (which was sucessful since I found 3 of them).
In the "Fake in Yellow" quest, you start out and see the professor in his rappy suit as you begin the quest. Don't talk to him. Proceed through the level until you find the room with eight rappies as mentioned in the TP Trick Guide to pipe for rare rappies. Once there, stand in the spot where the professor would usually be. If you listen closely you can hear the professor's footsteps even though he is not there.
Anyway there you have it, give it a try cause it's kinda funny (for the first few minutes).
