Why is it I see so few people playing the 50Hz mode here in Europe? 60 users tops in the weekends!
Is the 60Hz that much better? How many people play there?
It also seems Episode2 has some sort of disease cause i rarely find anyone playing it. Wich is too bad, cause you can find some high-power stuff much sooner there, and the graphics are better too, just take a look around in Seaside.
Oh well, at least there are a lot a friendly gamers on the 50Hz mode....

Play 50hz, then play 60hz, you'll see the difference. 50HZ Is way too slow!

That brings me to another question, How do I switch to 60Hz?

on the cube, after the cube logo has come, press and hold B until the option comes up. This option will then come up on every game that surpports 60HZ. If you select no thenb the next time you boot up then you will not get the opton so repeat the process.

I'd say that the real reason is that only 60 Hz users can play with Americans and Japanese players.

If you spin the camera around with the fourth pad on 50Hz, it looks like bullet timing.

We don't run NTSC here people, so no 60Hz.
Don't know the amount of people with 60Hz PAL unabled TV, but you have to make your game run on Joe's average setup.

There are 2 ways to make a game run from 60Hz to 50Hz, btw.
The quick and Lazy way, and the more thorough way.
Guess which was taken by ST ?

Most TVs these days support PAL50, PAL60 and NTSC all in one. It's cheaper for TV manufacturers to make TVs that would work in all regions, with the only difference being the plug used on the electrical lead, and the documentation/manual. In any case, 50Hz is better for regular TV broadcasts and DVDs (Higher resolution - 625 lines compared to NTSC/PAL60's 525), so we won't be making a switch to 60Hz any time soon. The introduction of HDTV might change this though.
