Error thing

What causes this? My gamecube is fairly new, and I've already gotten the error once on my PSO, and twice in some other game...

Can this be caused by the fact that I switch between my two memory cards a lot?

Do you switch them while the game is RUNNING and using a file off the card or when it is not using the card off the memory card or OFF?

Because yes, the gamecube will mess up if you mess with the cards in the slots while it is using them. That's why when it is saving it says "NOW SAVING: DO NOT TOUCH THE MEMORY CARDS OR THE POWER BUTTON."

Nope, I always switch when the game is off.

Also, should the GC be on a flat hard surface? Because I keep it on my carpet...
