Here is the reason why:

It all comes down to the system's specs. The biggest help in so far thwarting the majority of would-be hackers is GC's minidisc format. Since the easiest way to hack the game is to run a bootlegged, modified copy of it, the DC and PC versions have fallen very hard to hacking.

Since it's hard to burn a modified copy of the game onto a minidisc capable of being run on GC, not many people have done it.

Then again, to run a modified copy of the game, you will need a mod chip. How can people doing this on Xbox play online with mod chips? The answer is simple: people on Xbox aren't doing this. The hard drive is the key to hacking PSOX. Rather than run a modified copy (which is nearly impossible to do because of Live's No Mod Chip rule), people just edit their current Xbox saves via a PC. It's way more complex than the following, but the basic idea of what you do is take the hard drive out of your Xbox and put it in your PC. You can then edit your basically legit PSO save (by which I mean not a bootlegged one) as much as you like. You can use a hex editor to create or change items, change your stats, edit which levels/quests you've completed, the whole works. You won't need a mod chip to run the new save since it's still on your regular PSO disc.

Your PC won't be able to read the Xbox's hard drive at first, so the encryption must be broken... but that was done on like day 1 in Japan.

Hope I didn't confuse you too badly, but that is essentially the reason why GC is not as hacked as the other versions yet.

Actually I'd rather this wasn't in the sticky just because of all the screenshots. That would be a pain in the arse to load for a lot of people...

Thats not even how they are doing it, they are using chipped xboxs where the chip can be switched off, they don't use a copied version of pso they actually dump the entire contents of the disk to the harddrive and copy modified files onto it which overwrite the pso files and have been altered for drop rates, and exp etc.
