You just made a thread about this, it's only a few topics down. In it a mod told you there's no known use. Search the site like you should do, you'd find 19 million threads on this. Wanna know what they have figured out? Nothing, no one knows yet. Future quest is the most logical so far.

Think of it in terms of the XBox and Photon Drops. No use yet, but eventually one is expected.

Not that anyone will know, since NOBODY carries around a sphere, even those that search the recesses of the quests AND talk to all NPCs...Yeah...
