Lets say you are maxed in DFP + EVP to your highest stat possible
and you use an item like the Red ring
does it still increase your stats?

or lets say your ATP is maxxed
and you equip a weapon that does +200 to ATP
will it be +200 above max or just max?

basically at lvl 200 do all the weapons do the same damage?

Only in version 1 did your stat with the weapon actually have a max. That was 999. Weapons and armor don't modify your base stat like mags and units do. When your base stat maxes, that just means further addition to that stat on a mag or in units won't have any effect. The weapon still adds it's full power to your ATP.

ahh sweet thats what I wanted to know... thx alot Shentar

one more question
how about items like GOD/Power?
If your base ATP is maxed, will it still add 50 to your ATP?

Things you equip in slots, like God/Powers are called units. They raise your base stat, so if your ATP is maxed they won't do anything.

Basically, if you look at your stats, it will have a number, and then a number in parentheses. Example: ATP 1000(800). The 800 is the number that will max, and when it does, it will turn yellow. The 1000 is what your total stat is, including your weapon's stat, and any shifta bonuses. It doesn't have a set max. The 800 is your bare stat plus any additions your mag and units give you.

Okay, here's the deal: Weapons add to your total ATP, but units and MAGs add to your base ATP. On the Dreamcast Version 1 there was not a cap on ATP, there was just a cap on the amount it was displaying, so you could really have 999 ATP, or you could really have 1200 ATP, either way, it was only capable of displaying up to 999, even though it could go much higher.
