i just got a jack o lantern, and ive heard of a trick where u can "soft reset" and try again if u dont get what u want, can someone please explain?

just make an offline game and open the jacko there. If its not the mag cell u want press the reset button on ur ngc. Offline the game doesnt save anything unless u select quit game. So the mag cell will b a jacko again and u can try agaian and again.

By soft reset, do you mean the button on the actual GC, or pressing the combination of buttons on the joypad, like the DC had. If it is the combination what is it?! ty

its either the reset button or start+b+x for 1 or 2 seconds.
