Probably my last attempt at any sort of fanart after a recent event at a comic store *koff* Sketch Pad Jam event and was not suprised to learn my skills were uhm... dismal. But I'm proud of it.

u should be bloody proud of it!!!

i think its a great pic. granted its not the best ive seen, but its still qualiTy with a capital T!!!

i wouldn;t mind seeing a colour version though dude. what can i say im a simple creature who likes colour!!! (or Color, dependin on what side of the pond u come from)

only one critism about it dude (and this is only a constructive comment) is that the eyes r a little messed up. and she looks like sees chewing a big wad of gum.

but other than that, keep up the good work!!! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

PEACE!!!

I wouldnt give up if i was you, you only get better by practising.

Your picture shows alot of potential. Some of the dimensions are a bit off (the face seems to be a bit oddily shaped) but otherwise its a good effort.

Keep drawing and you should get better.

Whatever you do, if you like it, keep going!

About the only thing which can keep you from becoming a great fan artist, or any sort of artist is if you let yourself get angry and discouraged.

And for some reason, some people like nothing better then to degrade other people's stuff, for whatever reason, especially if they're just starting. From the way you sound, you got some harsh stuff laid on you at the sketch-book session, instead of what you needed: help and encouragement. All good artists are always learning, helping and improving their skills, and a place like that should have been good territory to do it.

Unfortunatly you had a bad experiance there...but don't let it stop you from doing more art. What he said was right: the more you do, the better you get. Believe me, I got pretty royally smeared on these boards for posting something I thought was pretty decent, but I'm still here. If people try to diss your stuff, go away for a while, work on more things, then return and prove them all wrong, or else they do win.

Just because people are better than you doesn't mean that you should stop drawing because the truth is, no matter how good you are, there will always be someone better.

http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif Don't be too hard on yourself. But then again, you should keep being hard on yourself so people think you're humble http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_evil.gif j/k http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Anyhow, it's a really good start for a sketch. For one thing, your proportion is decent. Most people seriously can't seem to get proportions right, and yours aren't so bad. The general shape of the body is good, although a bit flat looking. Anyhow, just keep drawing for fun and you'll end up getting better. Although a little bit of "studying" could probably help out in that department as well. (Does watching lot's of anime count? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)
