Which Force is best for me (see below for more)

I'm having trouble deciding between the FO's so I thought I'd get some advice here since everyone is so nice. Now on DC, I had a FOmarl since they were able to cast spells fairly well but not quite as well as the other two forces, and at the same time she had some ATP to defend herself with in dangerous situations.
Now that I've gotten PSO for Gamecube, however, I'm seeing that things have changed greatly as there are new classes and bonuses given to the different FO's. It also seems that FOmarls have lost their popularity and so I'm considering choosing something else instead although it would be different with less melee ability. I'll make a list of the things I look for in a character so you can help me decide.

- I like to have a good appearance obviously
- I like magic alot so I'll cast magic more than anything.

- I like to support my team and keep the battle going (so I'm thinking of marl or newearl)

So based on these points, what would you guys suggest?

Go FOmarl,

1. Not very many people have one, you'll be very unique.

2. You say you wanna do about 75% Magic and 25% mellee, and you wanna support, while the newmans have better support, you wont be able to poke at all should a monster poke you.

FOmars have more ATP and MST than FOmarls, but don't have the range boost to Resta or Anti.

Both have a range boost to Shifta and Deband, FOmarl has a 50% boost to Grants, while the FOmar has a 30% boost to Grants and Gi-level techniques.

So you might want to go with the FOmar as opposed to the FOmarl, unless you want a very White Mage-oriented character.

i've been screwing around with a fomarl char.. its fun "poking back" but she has the WUSSIEST melee animation.. its comical, and grants damage is "crasy go nuts" from what ive seen so far(shes been twinked, what can i say)

and they just look cool all depressed and stuff, minus when they run... thats just weird...

i think u should play a char because YOU like it, not because it has "better stats then the other one"

Go with a FOmarl. I chose her and the FOmar because they were good for ME. Also i picked them because they are good. The FOmar is MY fave but i also really like the FOmarl.

I only have one word to say(yeah right....) FOMAR!!!

I felt the same as you. I wanted a force who could cast spells ok meelee a lil, and support. From everything i've seen this is how I've summed up the characters(and By the way, noone message me and say anything about me being wrong because it is just my opinion, ok ty...)

Fomarl: Lil meelee ability, Ultimate Support Character. Gets bonus range to resta anti shfta and deband, but only gets a 50% damage bonus to grants...

Fonewearl: Single Hitting Powerhouse. Bonus to Resta and Anti range, Megid range(penetrating), and 30% damage bonus to Basic spells so she'll annihalate those badass enemies in the levels(aka Hildebear/hidelt, NanoDragon, Garanz/Baranz, ChaosBringer/DarkBringer, Delsabers, Chaos Sorcerers/w/e ultimate counterpart is called...) and the bosses. Hardly any meelee ability until ridiculously high levels 110+(and maybe not then...).

Fonewm: Almost Exact opposite if Fonewearl. Multi Hitting Master. Gets 30% bonus to normal and hard attack spells. With the right merges and lvl spells Fonewms can clear a room faster than any character in the game. Meelee ability similiar to Fonewearls but has more attack. Clears those hordes of enemies but this kinda wastes tp on the enemies Fonewearl can blow away with a basic spell.

and of course my fav Fomar: Has best meelee of forces. If you dont want to rely on only one thing you should pick him. He has the same range on shifta and deband as Fomarl so you can still support, but he also gets a 30% damage bonus to normal spells + a 30% Grants. So as you can see he's the most rounded of the forces. THIS CHARACTER CAN BE A CHALLENGE TO PLAY WITH(sorry for all caps but wanted to make sure it was pointed out). Although many people say that his meelee goes down in ultimate, if raised properly can meelee and hold his own with magic in Ultimate. So he has supporting skills(limited but he has them...) A Grants bonus like Fomarl(although not as powerful(about a third more damge aint bad), bonuses to normal spells, and the most attack of all the forces.

So therefore i believe Fomar is better than Fomarl because he can do more damage to more enemies at one time and every bonus she has he has(grants bonus, supporting skills although maybe a lil weaker)+ more(i.e. a normal spell boost) He's better than Fonewearl and Fonewm because in the event that you run them through this scenario he would come out on top: You're in an area and you have full tp but no items and you dont want to go to town because you have your photon blast+you think you can beat him without items. You start up and you use all your tp, but you know it's almost dead. If you're a Fonewm or Fonewearl you'd be killed before you could do enough damage to kill it and you'd have to start over{MAN do I hate that}. While if you're a Fomar you just may be able to kill it(maybe, hopefully.) So that's how i see it

I suppose I'll stick with the FOmarl. I was considering FOmars for a bit since they have the GI-tech boosts, but when in battles I usually don't tend to use them. The only GI-tech I really use is Gibarta, and that's only for it's freezing purposes, and the MST difference between the two isn't very severe so I think FOmarl will make a good Force for me. i think u should go with a fomar. first of all u wanted ur character to look good and i feel fomar's the coolest lookin force. second, u wanted some melee ability, and from experience fomar's r pretty well balanced and u can somewhat defend yourself up close. finally, u wanted to use lots of magic and fomar's a force so its good with magic.
thats just me, but do what u want.
