When you do a quest and you have an NPC player with you and they block does anyone know what that Barrier is, because they all have them when they block and it looks the same.

The hunters have a Hunter Wall.
The rangers have a Ranger Wall.
The forces have a Force Wall.
They all have the same block animation, which looks like a Star of David (thrown card weapons that hit something make the same image).

These items still exist, but currently nobody knows how to find them or their matching armors, the Hunter/Ranger/Force Field.

That's weird...PSO World doesn't list them in the GC version in the database.

Because they haven't been found yet. They're still there, Barubary confirmed that, but currently they haven't been found by anyone.

My guess, which may not be worth much, is that Sonic Team left them in for that purpose only. Just so all NPC's could have the same generic gear.

There's usually a simple reason behind these kinds of things, like why our characters have a resist stat page that has your base resist, and your total resist.

Of course our characters will always have 0 base for our resistances, so why have them? Simple, so enemies can be given resist values without the need to equip armour etc, because I'm sure the enemies run on the same character structure as our guys.

This is probably something like that. Sonic Team didn't want think about assigning each NPC, and each future NPC with unique gear so they're stuck with the plain stuff.
