PC: NEED HELP BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK! for all you pc users out there or people that now about this could you plz help me? Ok here´s the deal. Since I´ve been offline in PSO all my life i found a demo online for pc and I was wondering if you guys could tell me if in the demos they can send you a virus or something. Please help me!

Is it possible for someone to send you a virus through the game after it's running? Possible, but very very unprobable.

Is it possible for the file you downloaded to be infected with a virus? Very very possible. Did you download it from a reputable source, or did you get it from Kazaa?

Get a virus scanner.

Trend's Housecall (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/) for a one time scan or for a free virus scanner, get Grisoft's AVG (http://www.grisoft.com/).

Having a PC online without virus protection is just asking for trouble. An ounce of prevention and all that.

Now, some people will try to tell you that "real" computer geeks don't use antivirus. That's like saying that you don't use a condom because you a stud. Accidents happen.

I've been into computers all my life, and a geek for about 12 years now. Worked professionally in them for about 8. And I always, always, run an antivirus program.

With decent and free antivirus programs out there, there's no excuse to not have one.
