Twice, due to the fact that the first was a normal FSOD-X, and the second was due to some jackass calling my house at just the perfect time to disconnect me while it was saving. (I have a normal modem and no second phone line.)

The first time, I lost a level 80 HUnewearl, 60 FOnewm, and 50 RAcaseal.

Second time, I lost a level 115 HUnewearl, 50 FOmarl.

Only once... but because I take many caution. And if there aren't many people here saying they corrupted many is because the same. We play conditioned trying to avoid corruption.

Well, I havn't been corrupted but I've done most things that are likely to corrupt it apart from online stuff, my m8 turned the gc off as it was saving and once we got BSOD after the GC was on for 16 hours...

Only once, and that was when my little brother turned off the Gamecube while it was saving. He was mad because my other little brother was rappy hunting with him and didn't want to trade him the Twin Psychogun they found. I was pissed.

technically it's happened twice to the same character. The first time i got it back somehow. i saw 'corrupted' and 'delete?' and i freaked and yanked the card out and turned off my cube. after that it worked...the second time i was lvl 71, had just made it to Ultimate Caves, and it corrupted and i still haven't gotten it back (but i haven't given up hope! i still keep the data corrupted or not...)

For your information Love-Angel... I got corrupted on a EU-server, and it was almost empty (!)... Ive gotten a load of fsod:s on the US servers, and that scared the hell out of me, resulting in only playing on the EU-servers, Arcuturus 5 (sweden) to be more exact.... Ironic, isnt it?...

is there anyway to move your character to another memory card, or even sve it twice, on gamecube, ive never corrupted but my character is level 50, i have like 110 hours in him, most of it in making mags, but still

no there is no way to move your character, but transfer items between chars is possible..

so once your char is created in your card, you cant move it..

i think it's pretty messed up how some people have no compassion for those who corrupt.

i just corrupted on a nearly empty jp ship and block a few days ago. i was using the official nintendo memory card 59 and i have bb cable internet access that goes through a router (which is supposed to help with the filtering of bad data packets). i had only gotten normal buzzing FSOD about 4 times since november. this buzzing FSOD happend to happen while the game was saving. the result? BAM! level 158 RAmar Ajent Kali, level 139 FOmarl (bordering), level 115 FOnewm Link, level 117 FOmar (aesir) all dead.

my connection to pso has always been relatively stable. it can happen to any of us.

one of my best pso freinds, who also uses bb, has corrupted TWICE. what the fuck is wrong with sega that they can't eliminate this? why the fuck did i pay them all that money just so 1000 hours of my life could be brushed away in an instant like so much inconsequential dust?

i've almost all of the other online game boards at gfaqs if there are instances of corruption, and NONE of them apparently have it as a widespread problem. someone on the Ragnarok Online board said that they heard it happened to one guy, but that the company that runs RO actually FIXED his problem. that fucking floored me. 4 days later and i haven't heard back from sega via email. and the person i talked to on the phone the morning it happened didn't have anything to say except, basically, "you're screwed, deal with it". sega sucks. good ideas, good games, TERRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
