mag farmer (me!)

im just started mag farming
and im trying to get a max pow mag
and it says once you get to leval 35 pow = 21.25 and def = 11
but i went from 34 to 36
and had def -12 instead of eleven
did i screw up?
or is the guide wrong

that brings up my 2nd qustion is there a complete mag guide step by step other than the printable mag guie here?

That might depend on what you were feeding it...some things raise def more than others do.

I just followed the single stat guide for a MIND MAG and the results were different from what the guide stated. It seems to me that the charts in the MAG guides for how many points an item boosts the levels are a incorrect in some places.

my mag grew 2 lev at the same time so i went from 34 to 36
andf def was 12 should of been 11

did i do sumthen wrong

best advice i can give you is to pay close attention to your mag. whether or not the guide (or your math, if you work the evolution out yourself) is a little off, you should be able to catch any big problems before they happen. just keep track of the various stat bars as you feed the mag. if the corresponding bar for a stat you don't want leveled up is almost full, check the feeding guides on the site and switch to a different item for feeding. the feeding guides are just about perfect (the only mistake i've noticed is that a baby mag gets +10 to pow from antidotes, not +1...i'm sure that's just a typo), so you should rely heavily on them. anyway, you've got to keep an eye on those status bars, especially if you're relying on a build guide you've never tried before.

I don't think you did. With my MIND MAG, DEF ended at 13, according to the guide it was only supposed to be 11. I made different MAG's the same way and they both ended up that way, so I'm saying that the information on this site is a bit off.

My apologies to anyone who's tried to use that guide. I had created it based on old feeding tables that turned out to be incorrect. I just took the time to redo the entire guide (with a bit more detail to boot) using the correct E1&2 feeding charts. Lolita should have it up sooner or later.

The good news: it's still possible to get a Power MAG with 11/186/3/0.

The great news: I managed to get the Accuracy MAG to come out with more DEX. It now has 5/6/189/0.

The bad news: the MIND MAG took a slight hit, as the feeding kept it from becoming what it was previously thought to make. It now comes out with 10/0/5/185.

I'll give you a heads-up though: the Power and Mind MAGs are extremely fragile. You have to follow the feeding regimen exactly. One mis-feed will literally mess them up and not allow them to have the optimum stats. So make sure you keep track of how many items you've fed your MAG. Also, make sure to feed them in the order given. On the Mind MAG it'll say to give the Level 10 to 35, feed 76 Trifluids, 5 Antiparalysis, 1 Difluid. You must feed all 76 Trifluids, then the 5 Antiparalysis, then finally the lone Difluid. Messing up the feeding orders will mess up the MAG's levels.
