After doing several Forest of Sorrow runs, I came across a hildetorr. Then moments later another one came by in a separate room. Now.. Incidentally these rare enemies only appeared when the time was 666 beats. A curious coincidence, considering the malignant nature of the hildetorrs.. and their.. megid..spitting-ness. But yes. I came across them at beat 666. Please I urge others to verify the validity of my theory and hope this helps those rare hunters out there. -Hakai

Is there a listing somewhere that shows what ID's are affected the most at a certain beat, and similarly related topics? I can't find anything other then the beat canculator, and I don't even understand what beats are suppost to represent themselves.

beats are for meeting up with people online. They also affect the special on that crappy gun HEAVEN PUNISHER. That's all I use them for.

dang all these beat-based rares starting to confuse me -- some ppl find certain rares @ certain beat while some not
i really never believe in this beat luck 'cuz mine is not synch'ed anyway.. but i'm beginning to doubt..

i'm a greenil at lev. 107, and i've noticed this too...

i've found five hildetorrs at beat 346 and seven pal rappies at beat 235...

maybe some other greenil can try it and find out if it's the same, it might be based on level, class, gender, or other stuff aside from id's also...

I'll also check on it and see if it works with me.

Anyways, since I take screencaps whenever I see rare baddies, and the resulting JPEG files are dated and timed, I can help with information here. Here?s what I can gather:

ID: Redria

Seen:
Hard Mode, Temple 2, Nar Lily @ roughly 4:22 PM EDT on Wednesday May 14, 2003, which is 931 beats.

Very Hard Mode, Caves 1, Nar Lily @ roughly 1:31 PM EDT on Monday May 26, 2003, which is 813 beats.

Very Hard Mode, Forest 2, Al Rappy @ roughly 7:29 PM EDT on Thursday May 22, 2003, which is 061 beats.

Just providing all possible info just incase there are more variables other than just beats. Oh, and note that the times are rough, as I often clear out a room (cept for the rare baddy) before taking a screencap of it (and I tried to compensate for that time, but it may be off a little.) Oh, and lastly note I have the Xbox Version of PSO and I am a HUcaseal.

Here's some various times I've found for Hildetorrs

ORAN-HUcaseal - Beat time: 111

PURPLENUM-RAcast - Beat time: 138, 140

REDRIA-FOmar - Time: 11:30 PM EST. (what's the beat for that?)

@111, @666

Looking at the beat times above, might an ORAN have a good chance to see a Hildetorr during @222, @333, @444, @555...etc? Someone with one try these out. If so, the best time to search would be around @999-@000.

And possibly, once a good number of proven times have been shown for the same enemy in the same ID, put them together and see if you can determine any patterns in the numbers.

hm...

mil lillies: (dc= demo comet)
redria: @563, @401 (dc), @388 (dc), @585 (dc).
some more i havent written down...
and no hildeblues until now.

i dont see any kind of formula in these 4 beat times...

btw... beats aren't offbeat offline, they're just taking the cubes internal clock and use japanese timezone on it to calculate offline beats (GMT +9)...

Yeah, I've already thrown away the idea of the pattern, but I believe I'm on to something else here now.
