I used Babelfish to translate, but you know how that program is. Anyone hear who reads Japanese care to translate? It appears there's some kind of PSO contest running from late March - early April.... something about time attack quests and winning yen or super rare weapons. I got this link from the official Sonic Team website (in the what's new section), in case you're wondering.

This is from a friend. thru ICQ

ok, here's what I've got just translating the katakana (the easy stuff http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif
the top bullet says the tourney is going on between 3/23 and 4/6.....

The bottom bullet says something about the prize being Y150000
($1500)

they use the kanji for yen....
it's possible they use same kanji for the in-game currency too.... dunno

says something about a "time attack contest", and an original quest you have to download

I hope that helps...

Contest will be from March 23rd - April 6th.
You will need to download the "time attack" quest online made by the Sonic and Famitsu team into your vmu/vms.
The quest will be available online from March 23rd, 1800hrs.
Participants are required to save their game records and upload it to the server from the Official PSO webpage(use browser in game) by April 6th at 2355hrs.
Total value of the prizes are worth 1 500 000 Yen.
The winner will receive a Hunter Class A license(I think its a package from SEGA net), super rares that can not be accessible by any normal method and 200 000Yen.

Ps: man(kanji) is = 10 000 not 1000, its the same unit standard for the chinese.

How come the USA never gets wind of any of this cool stuff unless its second hand and most of the times unavailable to us? That really tears my up if we are not going to be able to participate in something like this. It's stuff like this and the whole Valentine's gift giving thing that really ^#&#*# me off! I love this game but this is just wrong not to include everyone.

Forgive me if I laugh - you don't know you're born!

You should try living in Europe.

* We will *never* have anything like a PSO event over here because no-one gives a $&%! about Europe

* By default have to pay per minute call charges to play PSO (unless you can get a copy of the US browser)

* We can't dupe even for backups because our web browser won't support the attatchments so if we get BSODed that's it.

* Consoles and games launch here months after they do in the US and Japan (not to mention films, videos, DVDs etc) - and we pay more for them than you do. While we're wandering around as level 1 newbies, you've already been playing for 80 hours.

We just get used to second class treatment. I'd count yourself lucky to be an American.

Och!

You Scottish and English PSO players, you have a great time compared to _us_Swedes_!

Here, Sega and Dreamcast is marketed by the famous Swedish tree train (and tree toy) manufacturer Brio. We got Dreamcast Internet access as early as December 1st.... 2000!!!

Say no more...

*BIG LOL*

I guess the moral of the story is, "No matter how bad you think your lot in life, there's always someone worse off than you are..."

Good lesson for us all.

Heh. I bet if the British, or the Swedes, or the Indians, or the Chinese, or the whoevers bought as much game products as the US did, they'd be just as well-supported as we are.

From a management standpoint, it sucks being a country ten times larger than most European ones, but on the plus size, we have Awesome Buying Power! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Which, correct me if I'm wrong, was the main reason behind the formation of the EC, yes?
