Advancing difficulty Levels offline?

do i have to do all the quests to beat the game so i can go from normal 2 ultimate or can i just beat the bosses in each level and skip... ummm... all oof the quest ?

you don't need to do the quests

Just go through all the levels and look for these switches that look like big ass trees, go near them press them to make them light up and keep progressing into the game doing that very same thing if you get to the end of the mines and it doesent let you go on go back and check the the 2nd part of every area ,people say their in every 2nd area.
