Stat maint, was an item in V2 that would make it so you suffered no status abnormalitys. It was taken out of PSO for GC and XB.

It upsets the balance of the game. A HUmar with one of those had no need for a Force at all in the DC version.

Cause it made it TOO easy to avoid the Status abnormalities. That, and there wasn't much need to dupe it, since most people could find it before they reached Ultimate.

Therefore, some challenge was needed back in the game. So, they opted to take out the item, and induce Status-specific Cures instead. Some are kinda useless, like Cure/Poison.

Cure/Shock is great in some areas, like the Mines or against Ultimate Ul Gibbons (hate those fuggers)

Cure/Freeze has its uses too in a couple of places. Not many enemies attack with Ice, but this thing is very handy to any Frozen Shooter/Snow Queen wielders, and a MUST for Ultimate Falz, 2nd Phase. (anyone who's fallen at that point knows why http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

Cure/Paralysis has a couple uses. Various enemies can curse you with Paralysis on the spot, especially the Lilys. Forces can make the best use of this one. Ideally, I recommend very high level characters to opt for a Sacred Cloth instead. Requires lv144, and Def and Evd are lower than other armors of those levels, but it does come with Cure/Paralysis built in. Easier to find, too.

Cure/Confuse is can be very useful in many situations, but does anyone actually have it?

Cure/Slow isn't too useful, as people don't get Slowed in most areas of the game. Only spots I can think of at the top of my head are a Gillchic/hs double-punch effect, and the Slowing sting of Gees. This does have have a surefire purpose, tho: For anyone who's trying to unlock the Sealed J-Sword, as it occasionally curses with Slow.
