GC: How do u get an s-rank weapon

any one know how to get an s-rank on gamecube. i have tried to get one but dont know how. i have also beaten the first lvl of challenge mode. plz help

Defeat all nine 9 Challenge Stages within a combined time of 7 hours.

Beat all nine challenge mode stages ONLINE in under seven hours total (not sure about the seven hours)
