Item: Branch of Paku Paku

I found a strange staff item called "Branch of Paku Paku" about a week ago. I was excited and spent a few days getting my MST up to 600 (Im a noob http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif ) so I could use it. It turns out to be a stick.... Anyway I know there has to be some secret or whatnot to this thing. It mentions Chao in the description and the only place I remember hearing about chao is in the old sonic dreamcast game. Is this a sort of a crossover item like the eggbeater? Although I did read about a mag item called heart of chao or somehting close. Any help would be greatly apprecated, I'm sure you've heard this question more than once before.

You need to make a Chao mag and then you can combine the two to make the striker of chao. It's not really worth it if you ask me, the mag is tough to make kinda, time consuming at least, and the weapons biggest feature is that when you swing it, it squeeks. You're better off trading for one if you really want the striker.

So the mag is actually consumed in the process?

Yes, when you make the weapon, you lose the mag. So in order to make the weapon you have to sacrifice a level 140(minimum) mag. Kind of a steep price.
