I don't battle much but I like rule 3. The warp battle format is fun except when people get ahead of you and try to hide so you can't kill them.

I dont battle much either, but I did enjoy rule 4 every once in a while on dreamcast, since I could be cheap and just kill once at the end then hide ^_^

I have to go with rule 1. Theres nothing more filling then beating a humar with a bkb 20 levels higher then you. I wuv grants! ^-^

Then rules 3 and 8. I like 6 the most because it's teams and a smaller playing field though. It's hard to find opponents in the r8 map, but you gotta love the hyper sharks in those last two rules...
