Snapshots: Is it normal to be unable to take pictures when i

By 'Normal View', I mean the view that occurs when you plug a controller in slot 4 with the L trigger being pressed. I wanted to take a pic without that stupid little box restriction, but when I pressed 'A' with 'L' held down, it did nothing. Am I doing something wrong, or can you only take snapshots stuck in the confines of the small box zoom?

im pretty sure you can take full screen pictures by holding down X or something =X (its in the instruction manual)

hm, i'm not 100% sure about which button caused what, but...

...
when you press A to snap, you get the little part of the screen. when you press B you get a full screen picture (rendered down to the same size -> its a bit blurry).

r u sure ur supposed to hold it down? ive never takin pics but im just saying lol.

I figured it out. You simply have to press 'X' to take a pic, rather than 'A'.
