It's possible, but extremely difficult, especially if you want an S-rank time. For the most part it's really no different than playing with four players, only you're forced to rely on each other even moreso than a four player team. It's usually best to have a HU (HUc or HUcl is ideal to see traps and avoid poison and paralysis) and either a RA (RAcl is overall best) or FO (FOnl for TP and simple tech boost is best, though may have trouble surviving) so someone fights at a distance to conserve mates. FO is overall stronger offensive wise, but with only two players they tend to run out of TP and fluids a lot quicker. If the RA can get a good gun (usually with an attribute like Dim/Shadow/Dark or Heat/Shock/Ice) quickly, then that can make up for their lack of power. In the end you have to work together to the extreme and make up for each other's weaknesses.
